Neil and Amy
Dear Friends and Family, December 2008

We hope and pray that this year has been a great one for you! We’ve had a great year, and are heading into our fourth year of marriage! God has been stretching us, molding us, and growing us everyday. We’ve enjoyed learning more about each other and growing together.
Amy has been staying busy with three part-time jobs and school. She attends The Worship Arts Conservatory online, and will graduate at the end of March with an Associate of Worship Arts Degree. For about two years she has been living a dream come true as the Worship Leader at St. Maries Foursquare Church, where we attend. Amy has also worked as a Member Service Representative at St. Joe Valley Credit Union since June of 2007. She works with three amazing co-workers, who are awesome women of God, and has thoroughly enjoyed herself.
We have also had the opportunity to work together at the most interesting job we could ever imagine. Since 2006, we have worked with a rehab program in town, drug testing people going through the local Drug Court program. It has been VERY interesting and has been a privilege being involved in people’s lives as they get back on track. There have been many opportunities to share Christ’s love and pray with the people we’ve seen.
Neil is still in full-time ministry, working in a Christian rock band, Byword. Neil plays lead guitar and background vocals. Byword put out their second CD in May of 2006, and they are working on their third CD, hoping to release it in April 2009. This year has been amazing for their ministry, and we’ve had the opportunity to travel all around the US with them. The band headed out the door the first of May for a tour that started in the Seattle area and then went through Oregon, Cali (as far South as San Diego) hit Las Vegas and then came up though Idaho. Neil walked through the door on May 30th exhausted from playing 24 shows in 30 days! In July they headed out on another tour where they flew to Boise, Toronto, Orlando, and L.A. Amy was able to catch up with them in Orlando and visit Boots, Barb’s mom, and meet Boot’s fiancé, Bud. This next year is quickly getting booked and we are watching in amazement as God opens doors and leads us to new opportunities.
With all that said… we have an amazing announcement (no, no babies yet). The band had a meeting at the beginning of October and decided that it was God’s timing to have Amy join them on the road, FULL-TIME! She will be Byword’s manager, soundman, and financial expert. We are extremely excited about this, and know that God is calling us to leap forward in faith! It has been great getting support and encouragement from our amazing families, our pastor (who is losing his worship leader) friends, and the Credit Union ladies. Amy’s last day of work will be March 13, and then on March 16th she will be employed by Ventiva Records (Byword’s label).
This is a very exciting time for us, and we ask for your prayers as we leap out into this new season in our lives and ministry. We will do the best we can to keep you updated!
In Him,
Neil and Amy
